No port? No problem! The library's now wireless...
The University of Nevada is preparing to implement wireless networking across campus, and the first phase of testing is already under way in Getchell Library. If you have a laptop running Windows XP, XP Home, 2000, or Mac OS X, and if you've got a compatible wireless LAN PC card, you're ready to access the Internet the moment you walk in the library doors.
For a list of recommended wireless network cards and information about how to configure them, visit the WIFI page at the Campus Computing website, or call the Computing Help Desk at 784-4320 (8am to 5pm on weekdays).
